It was founded by Trevor Austin (father of Paul) who was previously a euphonium player in the Horse Guards (and played on horseback at the Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation in 1953). Following long service in the Salvation Army as a player and conductor, his reputation led to requests to supply instruments around the UK and overseas. Rosehill is now led by Trevor’s son Paul. The company was awarded a UK government contract in 1999, and since then has been an approved supplier of musical instruments to Her Majesty’s military bands. We also repair, refurbish and service all brass band and military band instruments at our workshops in Beaconsfield. As well as drawing customers from all over the UK, we also supply many instruments to bands and players overseas.
