This is the first Teye Gypsy Queen La Estrella prototype built and hand engraving by Teye. Features a Spanish Cedar Body, Maple neck, Rosewood fretboard, Lollar pickups and Teye's Mood Knob. The metal top and headstock plate features engraving by Teye and the back of the headstock is signed by Teye. The backplate was only ever drilled for 4 screws and this is how we left it. One owner guitar from a private collection. Comes with a SKB case modified by Teye. Great chance to own a part of Teye history.Teye’s Gypsy Queen guitar – a Spanish Cedar body with Maple neck, Rosewood fingerboard and… many unusual ‘typically Teye’ features among which: 4 single-coil Jason Lollar pick-ups wired to Teye-electronics with again that mysterious Mood™ knob; upside-down headstock like the Firebird and Jimi’s Strat; a uniquely shaped body that gives this guitar maximum resonance and playing response; and a visual presence that is – like all Teye-guitars – impossible to ignore, on- or off-stage.In comparison with the Electric Gypsy guitars of the T, R, E, and A-series, the Gypsy Queen has more twang, like you’d expect. A little extra cutting power, but thanks to the Mood-knob and the four available coils also sufficient virtuoso-power for when the guitar solo arrives, without the need for external boost devices.
