Of the vintage Yamaha SGs, this is one of the most rare versions of the Yamaha SG-2000. This guitar is a gem, plays like a dream, light and fluid, and has been set up with a lovely low action.The guitar is heavy, sporting a genuine thru body neck, brass sustain plate under the bridge and an ebo fret-board with abalone split wing fret markers. This particular model has not been kitted out with coil taps as these accessories appeared later on the scene. The guitar is dated to late 1976 according to the 5 digit serial number embossed in the back of the  headstock 59382 in between the tuning pegs,  there is no  "Made in Japan" decal. Indeed the 1977 serial numbering started with 00 and all had this made in Japan text added but the earlier models did not, more detail on these numbering schemes can be found in the Japanese Shinko Book on complete SG history from 1995.
