Yes, This Is The REAL DEAL!! All Original Except For The Replaced Vibrato Arm, Truss Rod Cover, & Maybe A Couple Of Screws In The Pickguard. The Actual Kingston Guitar That The Dog Played, Was The SD-40 Model. This Sorrento Is Essentially The Same Guitar With A Different Headstock Shape & The Branded Sorrento Badge. It Was Made In The Same Factory, By The Same Craftsmen, & At The Same Time, That The Kingston Was Made. They Also Made The Model, Badged With The Prestige Logo.
It Features Four Individual Volume Controls, One Master Tone Control, & Four Individual Slided Type On/Off Switches. The Chrome On The Control Plate, Vibrato & Arm, Bridge, Back Plate, Tuners, & Pickups Are In Beautiful Condition & Without Any Rust Or Pitting. The Adjustable Solid Maple Neck Features 22 Excellent Frets,
As Well As The Rosewood Fretboard, & Triple Ply Binding On Each Side. The Tuners Do A Fine Job Of Staying In Tune With Moderate Vibrato Use. Dive Bombing & Agressive Use Is Not Recommended With This Model, But Will Give You That Vintage Twang & Sustain.
Now...For The Cosmetics. I Call It Vintage Character!!
There Are Some Scuffs, Scratches, Dents, Dings, Body Edge Wear, & The Pickguard On The Upper Horn Has Been Broken & Glued To The Body. A Previous Owner Glued/
Reattached The Headstock Badge, & Didn't Do A Very Good Job Of Cleaning Up. Actually, This Is In Good Condition For Being 50+ Years Old. Comes With A Period Correct Good Used Chipboard Case.
