Welcome to this sale of my beloved Tom Anderson Drop Top hollow guitar. It was built in California on the 7th March 2001 and the guitar is engraved with this date as you may be able to see. I bought the guitar from the much missed Jeff Pumfrett at Machinehead Guitars in Hitchin who later opened World Guitars in Gloucester where they still sell Tom Anderson guitars. The bad stuff first: The guitar is in very good condition although there is some tarnishing on the bridge caused by perspiration. I gigged with this guitar from 2001 to 2005 and in fact, I bought it on a Saturday afternoon and took it straight to a gig where I used it and continued to do so until I retired it four years later. Apart from this, there are no marks, scratches or dings and in fact, not even any buckle rash and it really is pretty immaculate apart from the tarnishing on the bridge. The action is set low and it is very fast with a great array of sounds. The guitar has a five way pickup selector and the pickup configuration as you can see is humbucker in the bridge with two single coils in the middle and neck. There is a hot switch to increase gain and a push/pull switch to add more tone options. This is a truly beautiful guitar finished in Tiger Eye Burst and if you press the button, you will not be disappointed.
