Shredder Alert!!   Beautiful 1964(?) Epiphone inspired by Paul Gilbert and Racer X.    I bought this guitar (originally Cherry finish – see pic) in Hollywood CA at a vintage guitar shop while attending GIT in the early 80’s with Paul Gilbert. I had it modified with a Kahler Tremolo System (with thumb locks), which are now incredibly hard to find. Kahler’s rock, just watch Paul! No allen wrenches needed and the strings ride on rollers so they don’t break. You can achieve crazy huge upward and downward bends.   Over the years, a crack developed in the neck heel (see pic with red circle), which I had professionally repaired in early 2000’s. Then I decided to have it painted metallic blue to match the Kahler tremolo. This guitar is lightweight and screams!    Has two pickups screwed directly into body, (1) vintage Dimarzio Tone Zone in the bridge position (Paul was famous for using this) and (1) 78 Model Seymour Duncan (Eddie Van Halen model) in the neck position. The guitar has coil tap switches to dial in the exact tone you’re locking for. Fretts are new, tall and thin. Specially designed side access guitar jack keeps the cord out of the way. Body and neck I believe are mahogany.   I’ve had this guitar for 35 years and am only selling it because I can’t play that fast anymore. This guitar cost me tons to buy/make and you’ll never find another one like it. If you like Paul Gilbert and Racer X, you can't miss out on this guitar. Overall in excellent condition. No case included.   Ask questions now. Sale is final. I’m pretty sure the guitar is a Wilshire, but could be an Olympic? Will ship international, but buyer pays all shipping costs.
