Brought back to life from the H-8 Hagstrom bass first introduced in the 1960's, the HB-8 was designed and built to produce the tones reminiscent of yesteryear, while still being able to produce the familiar modern bass tones, as heard today.Thanks to the pickup configuration of the 6-way rotary switch, a multitude of tones are possible with this 8-stringed monster!Possible pickup configurations using the 6-way rotary switch are as follows: 1 - Neck + Bridge, Single coil (Outer Coils)2 - Bridge, Single Coil (Outer Coil)3 - Neck, Single Coil (Outer Coil)4 - Neck + Bridge, Humbucking5 - Bridge, Humbucking6 - Neck, Humbucking The HB-8 has an extremely comfortable thin neck, which is further reinforced with Hagstrom's own H-Expander truss rod to provide years of playing enjoyment for decades to come.The HB-8 has proven to be a fantastic tool for bassists, providing a new definition in tone and creation for all bass players alike.
