I am reluctantly selling my lovely Jackson SL3 Soloist guitar as my playing days are coming to an end thanks to fingers getting stiffer and refusing to obey my brain!  This guitar is great for metal shredders; rockers find the high output pick-ups just the job and the sustain is perfect for that genre.  It works just fine on gentler music too, giving country a satisfying warmth, and a very passable Mark Knopfler sound is achievable via the middle pick-up.As you can see from the photographs, it is in mint condition - there are no scratches or dings at all.  According to the serial number (030426), it was made in Japan in 2003.  All of the fittings are standard except I have had new volume and tone pots installed, along with a new tone capacitor.  The original volume pot would cut out at full volume, (a known fault with this model), and so the change was necessary.  I swapped them for top quality CTS pots and capacitor made by Bare Knuckle Pick-Ups.I have never gigged this guitar at all - I use my old battered Hamer for that.  In fact, I have played this guitar less than a dozen times in 10 years.  The string gauge that it is set up for are .008 to .038 - (I have used Picato SL77 super lights for 35 years and find them to be very good and easy to bend).  The lack of fret wear shows just how little use this instrument has had in its life.It will come with the hard shell case in the pictures along with a whammy bar, allen wrench, and truss rod cover with screws.  I have left the cover off as the new owner may wish to change the string gauge and may have to adjust the truss rod to compensate.  (Best left to a Luthier if you don't know what you are doing!)  I can re-attach it if the buyer prefers.Now, the important stuff;  I would like to be paid by direct bank transfer.  Cash on collection is also acceptable, of course, but PayPal is not really a payment option if the others are available.  I would waive the £25 shipping charge if paid by bank transfer - send me a message before completion so we can arrange that.I will also accept offers very close to the asking price ...Please note; if you have little or poor feedback, you'll need to contact me first before a sale can go ahead.  Cannot be too careful nowadays.  No shipping outside of UK.Thanks for reading, specs follow below;
