DDR (Eastern Germany) manufacturer Musima, one of the best within the Warsaw Pact countries, for sale. Some introduction about these guitars may be read here:    https://daydreamguitars.nl/1961-musima-record-17/
This guitar had played at the Jazz, Blues & Soft Rock concerts in Moscow, St Petersbourg and Warsaw, and found its home with local musicians in Riga playing in local clubs across the Baltics (Riga, Tallin & Vilnius primarily) in the 70's and 80's. It had then gone through nearly 20 years of oblivion as the USSR collapsed and sent its former republics into the chaos of the 1990's, when this Musima was stored in the cloakroom or played soullessly on student parties until being thrown into the dark corner of an empty flat in Riga in early 2000's.It had stayed there until I found it in 2015 while inspecting former accommodation of my distantly related family member, who passed the story of this wonderful and so underappreciated guitar to me. It has then gone through professional restoration process, which has included:- straightening and clearning of the fretboard;- replacement of the frets;- general cleaning and wiping;- adjustment of the string turners;- replacement of the sound pickup system (with the original pickups kept in its place);- replacement of the input socket (from 5-din to jack);- replacement of the control knobs. (Unfortunately this is the only element that has not remained at its original state due to unavailability of parts.)- new .010 gauge strings. No paint restoration was performed to keep the original aesthetic condition of this Musima. After the restoration, it now produces a mesmerising sound that touches the listener's heart at the very depth. Soft to play, it feels like pure class held in your hands with its smell and considerable weight (indicating it is made of good-quality wood). It has no damages or cracks, aside from:- Lacquer flakes off in several areas, especially where the neck meets the body (underneath the neck - as seen on the pictures)- There is a scratch coming from the bottom screw of the read sound pickup. Nearly invisible if covered with the freely moveable and adjustable bridge (illustrated on the pictures). This guitar comes with the soft case to ensure safe delivery. Will ship worldwide with the best postage option available.
