This Fender Custom Shop creation exemplifies the Telecaster’s storied history with its heavy relic job, Butterscotch Blonde finish, and period correct hardware. All the dents, dings, chips, and scratches of a well-loved ’53 original are here and hand-worn with stunning precision. Its quartersawn maple neck/fretboard and Butterscotch Blonde finish over an Ash body will immediately catch your eye as well. The guitar sounds equally as great as it looks thanks to two handwound Telecaster pickups: a “Twisted” Tele single-coil in the bridge and a Broadcaster single-coil in the neck. This combination brings great tonal versatility, with the “Twisted” Tele pickup being great for hotter, high-gain sounds, while the Broadcaster pickup is more suited to classic cleans. Vintage-Style tuning machines, ’52 Tele Chrome knobs, a Nocaster Bridge, and a ’51 Nocaster pickguard all drive home this Telecaster’s time-honored look.
