This is an excellent Ibanez classic. The tone is great, the neck is great and the tremolo is rock solid. The pickups were made by Dimarzio in NYC for Ibanez, and were usually featured on “LTD” guitars and upscale lines. The F1 is a Gibson-PAF like humbucker. The C1 is a Fenderish single coil that is not noisesless. At the same time Dimarzio made the C2 pickup with a single row of poles, but was a noiseless “stacked humbucker”. The C1 has more bite and clarity for that Fender Clean sound. The C2 is nice too, and shines with added distortion or other efx.It was made in the legendary “Fujigen” factory in Japan in an amazing time when Ibanez released several ground breaking guitars, the RG’s 540S Saber and the Radius.
