Here's what you get: start with a nitrocellulose Olympic White body that came from a 1965 American Vintage Stratocaster guitar. In full disclosure, there's some light surface scuffs / pick marks on the guitar from some light play wear, but it doesn't have any dents, dings, or major scratches on the it. Please look at the pictures carefully as I used a Cannon Rebel digital camera and took pictures from a lot of different vantage point so you can clearly see what you're bidding on.Instead of the original round lam rosewood fretboard on a maple neck that comes with the '65 American Vintage model, it's been replaced with a 100% Genuine Fender All-Rosewood Neck. It also makes the guitar really easy to play - and gives it a darker, woodier tone compared to a maple neck. In addition, the guitar has Genuine Fender "F"-Stamped Locking tuners on the back, so the overall appearance of the guitar is neat and clean. What really takes this guitar to the next level and earns it the title of a Super Strat is the Seymour Duncan Everything Axe pickups. Seymour Duncan advertises this pick up set with the following: "This 3 pickup set will give your Strat into the ultimate versatile workhorse guitar with its wide variety of tonal options. The JB Jr. bridge model will take your Strats bridge position to a whole new level. This high output single coil sized humbucker will give you nice crunchy chords, and screaming lead tone with that classic upper midrange cut. There will be tons of bright harmonic sparkle, and a tight focused low end.The middle position Duckbucker there to add that sparkly single coil tone in positions 2, 3, & 4. Its unique, split-pole pattern with 3 poles on each coil, also contributes to the single coil bounciness and snappy low end. The Little 59 in the neck position has a nice, balanced P.A.F.-like response for big, full chords, and fat, punchy solos. Has that pleasing blend of warmth and bite when you dig in.Hand built in Santa Barbara, CA, these pickups all use a ceramic bar magnet, come with a 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options, and are wax potted for squeal free operation." Having played this guitar, I can tell you that the pick ups are pretty wild. It's a bit hard to describe but what's really interesting is how certain parts of your playing gets drawn out in a way that single coil pick ups never can. And even when you're just letting the guitar suspend and sustain notes, it seems like the pick ups assist in trying to present a new interesting sound. But if you're just looking for a traditional Stratocaster sound, the middle pick up accomplishes that nicely.This guitar was professionally set up a luthier, so the action is just right and the intonation perfect. Includes the case shown in the photos and the tremolo arm (not shown in the pictures). While I'm willing to sell it to someone who'll appreciate it as much as I do, I'm not willing to give it away, so the price is what it is and I'm happy to keep it in my collection if it doesn't sell.
