This auction is for an absolutely superb vintage Neumann U87 microphone. Please see the 12 pictures I have included. This one is in really fantastic shape inside and out. Serial number is 44500. They are hard to find in this nice of a condition because they were the workhorse of the industry for so many years! I have tried to show this mic from as many angles as possible and even opened it up to show a very nice original capsule, never reskinned. This mic has been maintained by top local technician Toby Foster and is in good working order.The vintage Neumann U87 has a remarkable track record for being used on hit records. To me it is smoother and better sounding than the newer U87ai version. It functions on standard phantom power but also has the battery compartment and could potentially be run on a battery, though I never used it that way.Shipping is a flat $30 and will be professionally packed and fully insured, shipped by UPS.
