These were custom-made in Japan in 1995 for Mars music stores in red, silver, and blue sparkle/metal flake finishes for an Independence Day promotion. This is an "ESP Custom Guitar" (see back of headstock), and not one of ESP's less expensive standard or "Ltd." models. I bought the guitar new, and I paid close to $1,000 over twenty years ago. It has a mahogany chambered (semi-hollow) arch-top body, maple neck with rosewood fretboard with "flag" pearloid inlaid fret markers and ESP logo on headstock, pearloid tuners, jumbo frets, tune-o-matic bridge, cream-colored binding on body (including cut-out), neck and headstock. Very nice looking, and pretty rare. ESP humbucker pickups (LH-200s, I think), which could be upgraded to make the guitar even nicer and more custom. All original except Schaller strap-locks and the vinyl decals/stickers--which I am sure can be removed if you want. The guitar is in excellent condition except that the outer finish (probably some type of urethane) was damaged on the back/bottom (under the Nashville Pussy sticker) when it got dropped onto concrete despite being in a thick soft case at the time. I removed the sticker so you can see that the incident cracked the finish but did not break through the wood. The sound and stability are not affected at all. The guitar sounds very nice: more mellow than a solid-body; but less boomy than a true hollow-body (and no feedback problems as are common to true hollow-bodies). The semi-hollow body is well-contoured, relatively light, and comfortable to play. I bought it mainly to use as a rockabilly guitar, but it is pretty versatile. If this guitar had no finish issues, I would be selling it in the $800-$1,000 range. Because of the damage, I am pricing it substantially lower. My drop is your gain--get a custom Japanese guitar with aforementioned high-end features for the price of a mass-market Chinese guitar. No case. Also check out my other listings, including an early '60s Kay Vanguard electric guitar (awesome slide blues guitar), a mid-'60s Silvertone (Danelectro) #1457 2-PU electric guitar, and a cool Jerry Jones Long Horn Guitarlin. I am thinning the herd, and all of this stuff needs to go to good homes so they can be enjoyed rather than sitting around unplayed.  I also have this item listed for sale locally in Houston, so I reserve the right to pull the item and terminate the auction if there are no bids yet. Also check out my other auctions for more good stuff besides guitars. I generally sell musical instruments and effects, Corvette parts and accessories, vintage movie and rock posters and books, as well as other movie- and music-related items. If you're a Bowie fan, I have a vintage original one-sheet movie poster from The Man Who Fell to Earth (same photo as his Low album) listed for sale now at a very reasonable price.Sold as-is - All sales final - No returns will be accepted. Must pay by PayPal within 48 hours after the auction ends. No exceptions unless paying in cash with local pick up.U.S. buyers only - I only ship to the contiguous 48 states--not AK, HI, or PR. Shipping by UPS Ground or FedEx Ground/Home Delivery. For spendy items, I generally prefer FedEx Ground or Home Delivery with a required signature, insured for the full amount of the final sales price.  The $75 shipping charge is an estimate, but it should be close since the guitar is fairly light and there is no case.  Buyer to pay additional actual shipping charges if they exceed my estimate OR I shall refund the difference if the estimated shipping cost turns out to be too high. No charges for box, packaging materials, or packing/handling.Will ship after payment is confirmed and funds actually received by me through PayPal. I shall only ship to a confirmed PayPal address, and all PayPal payments must be from a U.S. financial institution. I do not accept payments from international PayPal accounts.Thank you and GOOD LUCK!!! You know that you deserve it. . .
