You are looking at a "Mint" Vintage 1962 Gretsch Tennessean Model 6119.....Original Hard Shell Case and black shoulder strap in excellen condition includedThe 1962 Tennessean features Chet Atkins more favored single cutaway design. The 2 pickups are Hi-Lo'Trons controlled by a three way selector switch.  Each pickup has volume control in addition to the main volume control.  The three way tone selector is also present as is the stand-by switch...all original.The zero fret is present allowing the correct string height on all of the strings and lower action at the nut, allowing for easier "pull-offs" at the first fret.Easily playable neck with great low action.  Excellent intonation.Maple neck with rosewood fretboard....half moon pearl inlays on the neck....the binding extends around the neckThe binding is totally intact with no sign of cracks or discolorationThe Vintage Waverly tuners are bright and shiny chrome and hold intonation as they shouldThe "f holes" are closed and paintedOriginal Bigsby Tailpiece with swivel armThe electronics are original and function properly....sounds range from a "country twang" or "House of the Rising Sun" brightness to very mellow jazz tones with the neck PUP alone and adjustment of the tone switch.Strung with DR 11-50 Nickel/ Round Core StringsChet's goal was to build a beautiful line of guitars that had excellent sound....he surely hit his goal with this one!!Just ask George Harrison and David CrosbyThis is a "rare jewel"....For sale in Continental US, Alaska, and Hawaii only
