A tribute to a guitar great with the original features many players love! The Eric Clapton Strat is made for versatility. From smoldering blues to full on rock, this guitar delivers. The body is made of alder for great tone. The 25.5 inch maple neck features 9.5 inch radius maple fingerboard with 22 vintage style frets. A trio of Lace Sensor pickups are hooked to an innovative mood boost control for everything from sparkling clean to all out woman tone. Vintage style tuners and a blocked vibrato bridge round out the hardware. The finish is classic black like Slowhand's famous Blackie. A great guitar for anyone needing great Strat tone.The original Strat had three single-coil pickups, so it was able to produce sounds that no other guitar could deliver - particularly once players discovered they could lodge the 3-position blade switch in those in between positions to access different pickup combinations. These were often erroneously referred to as the out-of-phase settings. The Eric Clapton Strat comes standard with a modern 5-way blade switch, making it easy to access all the pickup combinations. But then it adds a special active 25dB midrange boost on one tone control to give this guitar the extra meat you might expect from a humbucker. In addition, the second tone knob functions as a standard Fender TBX master tone control, which can smoothly go from bright and glossy to dark and smoky by rolling off the highs!Thanks to a comfy V neck, this Clapton Strat plays great. The frets are good and the neck is straight. The original Lace Sensor pickups dish out a ton of tones and the mid boost circuit adds lots of versatility. Everything from trademark Strat spank to Les Paul like crunch. A really cool instrument. This is a nice used guitar. It shows light to very Light pick, and clearcoat swirls to the rear Face of the body. Nothing major and virtually unoticeable. Comes in original tweed case with some case candy.This guitar would make a great choice for both Clapton fans as well as anyone needing a great performing instrument. The pickup/electronics combo offer up a great array of tones. A new one will set you back £1799.00+ in stores.
