This is a very rare Ibanez RG 517. No, not a 570, not a 550... A 517. Here's a little about the guitar from the Ibanez Wiki Fandom page:"The RG517 is an solid body electric guitar model introduced by in 1996. The RG517 features a basswood body with special flaked finishes in blue and green. The neck is one-piece maple with a bubinga "skunk stripe" with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. It has Ibanez V7 and V8 flanking an Ibanez S1 controlled by a 5-way selector switch. Other components include an Edge bridge and a locking nut. The RG517 was a which never appeared in a catalog. It is believed to have been offered only in Europe along with several other models which share the same naming convention (e.g. the and ). The RG507 is similar except for the flaked finishes. The is identical with the same flaked finishes was offered in the USA for 1997. The RG517 had a production run of two years"I have replaced the original pickups with 2 EVH Wolfgang pickups in the bridge and the neck positions, and chose a Seymour Duncan Trembucker for the middle, single coil position. This combo absolutely screams warm, smooth tones. The middle Seymour "Trembucker" is great for a biting, hard yet single coil sound. Excellent combination of sounds!Comes with hard shell case in good condition, and I'll throw in a very cool, green, brand new, Levy's matching strap! When I had the new pickups installed a few months ago, guitar was professionally set up (Bronson's Guitars in Scottsdale, AZ) with 009-042 D'Addario syrings. Whammy bar and trem setup is flawless. I also replaced the pickup selector switch with a new Switchcraft switch.
The guitar itself is in mint condition, almost like it hasn't been played or been removed from its case. I bought it on Craigslist from a guy who needed cash. And, I have a couple vintage RG 550's, so I don't think I need another so simliar.
Please E Mail me with any questions. I will ship anywhere its allowed through E Bay's Global Shipping program. 100% Feedback, so bid with confidence. I am a player/collector as well, and I stand by this listing 100 percent. It's a fabulous guitar that should go to a player who will use it, record and gig with it. Thanks for looking.
