The PRS Custom 22 Soapbar was originally made between 1997 and 2004, and is a very rare model featuring three soapbar pickups and a Maple fingerboard. The guitar sounds incredible - something like a Strat on steroids. It sounds fat and smooth when clean, and it really can cut through with overdrive. Turn the tone way up, get the "bell-like" Strat sound but with more push. Turn the tone down just a bit and you'd swear they were humbuckers. Visually the guitar is a treat, the beautiful Amber flame top contrasting with Maple binding, and the Maple fingerboard is really distinctive.
