Suhr pickups are wound using Alnico V magnets for good warmth & punch but they always retain clarity. The JST SSV Neck Humbucker pickup dishes up plenty of clarity & definition with smooth, vintage flavored top-end response. The JST DSV+ bridge humbucker pickup produces plenty of output with smooth top-end, tight lows & excellent harmonics- perfect for Rock and Classic Metal.The workmanship is quite literally stunning. Tolerances are super tight & the finish is like glass. The compound radius fingerboard features 22 PLEKed hand dressed jumbo frets. The perfect frets & outstanding set up combine to make an almost unreal playing experience- notes come out from under the fingers fast & easy in a way that really defies description. Suhr's website says "With its sleek elliptical neck profile, balanced asymmetrical body, and innovative neck heel, the Modern delivers unmatched playability and comfort." That's for sure. Access to the upper frets is unhindered & the guitar is as comfortable on a strap as it is in your lap.
