This is an excellent example of the famous G&L S-500 Leo Fender Signature Addition Guitar. One of the most versatile and easy to play guitars designed by Leo Fender and George Fullerton. This one was made in May 1991 shortly after the death of Leo Fender and was one of the first models intended as a tribute to the man himself. This was the first Stratocaster type guitar designed after Leo sold Fender. You really don't see these come up for sale too often.This guitar is made from a two piece slab of beautifully matched premier Swamp Ash, has a bi-cut Hard Rock Maple neck with a silky smooth luxurious Rosewood fret board. 1-5/8ths nut, Locking Spertzle tuners and the Dual Fulcrum Vibrato bridge which gives rock solid tuning and performance whether shredding like a maniac or just strumming along on rhythm for any sound you may conjure up from the famous S-500 G&L Magnetic Field Design Single Coil pickups with adjustable pole pieces and the mini toggle expander switch.It also has the PTB system giving you a Master Volume and separate Treble and Bass controls, plus the five way pickup selector. So many tonal adjustments on this one it will quickly become your number one ax.This guitar is in mint condition with perfect frets and fret board, no scratches even on the pick guard. There is one tiny indent the size of a pen point next to the fretboard on the bass side, shown in the last picture. Even this is hard to see if not pointed out but hey, gotta be real and show it. Never really been played at all.The guitar is setup according to G&L specifications as come with the setup instructions included, with all the case candy including hang tag, inspection tag, warranty registration (no longer under warranty), allen wrenches for all adjustments, even the case keys and of course the vibrato bar. However, you may want to have it set up to your exact liking which can easily be done as the truss rod and micro tilt adjustment system are all in fine working order.I can't say enough about how great this guitar is to play and the amazing dynamics of tone and sustain that makes Leo's finest ever guitars so famous and sought after. This one was made before the BBE takeover so you can rest assured that Leo had his mark on this instrument including the stunning black signature on the upper bout.Comes with OHSC in mint condition and all case candy.Please feel free to ask any questions or to request additional pictures.
