Description

For sale is an all original 1975 Fender Stratocaster with a natural finish and maple neck in excellent condition. Everything under the hood dates to 1975, including the Chicago Telephonics Supply potentiometers, and gray bottom pick ups. As pictured, the guitar has been stamped by Ayala, Bush and Cerna, all well-known luthiers at Fender during the era. The guitar's original pick ups, dated to 1975, have an excellent vintage Stratocaster sound. To me, it has a Jimi Hendrix vibe about it. This guitar has been taken very good care of over the past 42 years, and although it is in fantastic condition, it has been played. The fingerboard has a little bit of wear to it, as well as the frets, and upon very close inspection you can see that the finish has slightly dulled around the striking spot above the low E string. The pickup covers have aged naturally, and the scratch plate has natural wear just beneath the high E string. This guitar is unusually nice and luxuriously light for a mid 70's Stratocaster and I believe it to be an example of one of the great strats of the era. Chris Butler of The Waitresses played this exact model and Andy Summers of The Police occasionally played a similar model, as well as hundreds of other popular artists before and during the golden era of MTV. Please message me with any other questions.
