For sale here is a very, very nice example of a late, 2011 Gibson Midtown Custom. The main picture is a STOCK PICTURE from Gibson; all others are of the actual guitar.Beautiful Mother of Pearl split diamond head inlays, with Burstbuckers 1 & 2 pups, Grover Kidney tuners, a Tune-o-matic bridge, and a stopbar tailpiece-- all in Chrome-- make this a truly eye-catching guitar. I've also recently removed the old snap-buckle locks and added Dunlop strap locks (the ONLY modification) so you're not limited in straps choices.I'm almost tempted to rate this as "excellent" but a few minor details keep me from doing so. Plus, I'd rather lower my grade than to not meet anyone's expectations. To wit:There are 2 tiny dings below the front left f-hole. I've tried to show these as well as possible in harsh light. The white spots you see are actually reflections of that light, NOT breaks in the surface. In normal lighting these are very difficult to see. On the back there is a scratch-- most probably from a buckle- that can be seen in another picture just 'south' of the fan light. Finally, there are the usual scratches on the pick guard.Otherwise, this guitar is top-notch! Plays and sounds beautifully whether you're into jazz, rock or country. It's presently set up (professionally, about 6 months ago) for 10s.It comes with a non-original hardshell case into which it fits perfectly (the original was 'mistakingly' acquired by someone who must have thought it was his/hers) and is in very good condition.Message me if you have any questions.Naturally, it will be well-packed when shipped. Thanks for looking!
