This is a REFINISHED 1964 Fender Jazzmaster Electric Guitar...When I got it, it was a nice guitar, and mostly all there, but had been poorly refinished...pretty bad actually... I decided, since she was all there, lets bring her back to life...As I was taking the parts off (to send it to my finish guy) and peeling back the layers of time, I saw remnants of the original Fiesta Red finish in the tuner ferrule holes, and the bridge cup holes...(I have pictures if you'd like to see them)...A Fiesta Red finish would be consistent with the mint green guard...So the decision of what color to take it back too was pretty easy...the original Fiesta Red with white undercoat...I instructed my guy to go as light as he possibly good with the undercoat, the Color and one thin thin thin coat of clear...The result is pretty damn good!! So much so, that my intent was to do a light relic with a few check lines and what not...but it looks so good, Ill leave that part up to the next owner...Youtube will tell you everything you ever wanted to know about relicing a guitar...As she sits now, the finish is pretty much NOS..its not MINT, but its a fresh refin and is really nice...really nice..The neck is nice and smooth...It had a light overspray at some point and most of that is worn off...Normally, a neck overspray is an instant turn off for me, this one...not that way...It's actually very smooth and has the old feel that you want it to have..The mint green guard is original, and intact...it has shrunk quite a bit...I left out one of the pickguard screws because I would have had to force it when putting the guitar back together, I chose not too...the original screw will be in the case...Both pickups are original and have 1964 date code on them...they sound great and are healthy and strong...the rest of the electronics are original as well, except for a replaced volume pot...I never had the original.. the volume knob is old, but of questionable vintage...same story for the switch tip...the original tremolo bar is included...Tuners, strap buttons, and string tree are original in every way... it comes with a correct 1964 Fender no-logo case..The guitar sets up and plays pretty nice....the frets do have some wear, but are fine as-is....one day in the near future, it could probably benefit from a fret dress, but its OK for the moment..I have more pictures than you could ever want, feel free to ask if you'd like to see anything else...Thanks alot,Johnny
