This 42 year old Ibanez 2671 Randy Scruggs Professional is a 1975 pre serial number original Ibanez script logo model.
It has a great playing neck with good frets. It looks like the nut has been replaced with a brass one, probably in the early 80's, it comes complete with the original harmonica bridge and the rare star backed tuners and a non-original hardshell case. It looks great but has a number of nicks + dings, and chips on the edges as pictured, one pickup has the original Ibanez script logo cover, the other pickup has no cover at all and may be a replacement. The guitar itself remains structurally sound with no neck cracks, breaks, or repairs. All electronics work and sound great.
These were hand made in Japan and this is original and super rare, the 2671 is a rare enough model as it is but the script logo pre serial number 1975 model is incredibly rare and is the holy grail of these guitars, it is rumoured that only about 30 of these were ever made before the introduction of the serial numbers and block logo in 1976.
So Miss this one and wait another 10 years to see another one! The last picture is from the original Ibanez 1976 brochure and is for information only, it is not a picture of this guitar.
