This guitar is original and sound from top to bottom.  Solid hardware.  Solid circuitry.  No scratchy pots.  Straight neck.Very limited wear.  Barely played in 38 years, but always cared for - which is why some of the parts you'll see in the photos look brand new (i.e. the pic of the back of the headstock and the tuners - original from 1978 in a raw photo). There are nicks and scratches in the finish as you can see in some of the pictures below.  The fretboard is very clean with minor wear in the top 2 frets (see photo).   It comes with its original case (& key), owner’s manual, whammy bar, tremolo instructions + associated wrench, and its serial number sticker - which is everything that was in the case when I received it 15+ years ago.  The case has some wear and tear but is in good condition.
Other Stratocasters of this era are on offer here but they're all either in worse condition or missing pieces.  You're not going to find a cleaner or more complete Stratocaster from the late 70s anywhere else, in my opinion - and certainly not at this price.
