Gibson Les Paul Robot Guitar Limited Edition First Run Gibson Les Paul Robot Guitar Limited Edition First Run You are bidding on my Gibson Les Paul Robot Guitar. This guitar is from the December 2007 first run (2,000 guitars) with a serial number of 682. It comes with everything that it came with new. It is in the original silver case which has the First Edition Markings. The Robot Guitar tunes itself. It looks like any other Les Paul (except for its very smart and unique Blue Silverburst finish) but will tune itself to standard tuning or alternate tunings. Limited Run
Each limited edition, first run Gibson Robot Guitar features a dramatic Blue Silverburst nitrocellulose finish, created especially for this limited run. It will never be used on any other Gibson guitar. Also featured is a certificate of authenticity, a power adaptor for the system's rechargeable lithium battery, and a limited edition first run case with silver tolex and a plush silver interior. Each Robot Guitar's serial number will also be sequentially exact, beginning with "RG0001," and continuing through the end of the limited run. This was only available for a limited time, in a production run of just 2,000 guitars. How Does It Work?
It's very simple. The only thing you have to do to tune your guitar to standard tuning is pull the knob, strum the strings, and when everything on the display is blue, you are done. The process for triggering alternate tunings is the same as the process for standard tunings. The Robot Guitar's ultra-smart inner workings also extend to helping you intonate your guitar as well. LEDs in the control knob actually light up to tell you the exact number of turns needed to adjust the bridge saddle for proper intonation. Available Tunings: · Standard · Open E · Dropped D · DADGAD · Open G · Hendrix Tuning (Standard, tuned down half-step) · Double Dropped D The Robot Guitar doesn’t require batteries thanks to a rechargeable lithium battery system that's fully charged in about 90 minutes, and the charge lasts through approximately 200 tuning cycles. The power adaptor plugs into any standard outlet and uses any standard 1/4" guitar cable to connect the Robot Guitar to the adaptor. The shorter the cable, the less time it takes to achieve a full charge. A Les Paul Through and Through At the end of the day - regardless of technology hidden within - the Robot Guitar is a Les Paul. Like virtually all other Les Pauls, the Robot Guitar consists of a maple-topped mahogany body. The 22-fret ebony fingerboard sits atop a mahogany neck reminiscent of the 1958/1959 Les Paul. The humbuckers that have been a trademark of the Les Paul sound for 50 years are Alnico-magnet 490R/498Ts for tones ranging from warm and jazzy to all-out crunch. The body is chambered, which reaps benefits with both lighter weight and better tone. The Les Paul Robot Guitar is certainly loaded with ground breaking technology, but it's still a Les Paul at heart. Gibson Les Paul Robot Guitar Features: · Body Type - Les Paul · Body Wood - Mahogany · Top Wood - Maple · Scale Length - 24 3/4" · Neck Joint - Set-in · Neck Wood - Mahogany · Fretboard - Ebony · Neck Shape - '50s · # of Frets - 22 · Nut Width - 1 - 11/16" · Fretboard Radius - 12 · Bridge - Fixed · Pickup Bridge - 498T · Pickup Neck - 490R · Hardware - Chrome · Pickup Selector - 3-Way · Finish - Lacquer · Hardshell Case Included There is a fantastic authorised Gibson Robot website that tells you everything there is to know about the guitar, click to visit. There is much written about the Gibson Les Paul Robot as evidenced by the following: The guitar has been played but not gigged. It’s in great condition but there are some slight imperfections in the paintwork by the control knob.
