Fender Japan Import Only '52 Reissue H-Serial MIJ (1988) White Ash/Maple Telecaster Micawber.Just in from Japan, here's a beautiful non export Fender '52 Reissue Telecaster Micawber. These first run white ash Micawbers are one of my favourite ever Japanese made Fenders. They were never exported from Japan. This beautiful Tele was constructed for Fender at the legendary Fuji-Gen plant, and like all these first run 80's builds is constructed from a fantastic resonant solid slab of heavy White Ash. The maple used for the neck & fretboard is also top quality on this with some nice maple grain patterns (check out the pics!!!) Fender Japan didn't build too many of them, preferring to stick with the classic single coil '52 design. This has all the good stuff and looks factory correct to me with its '52 black single-ply scratchplate, 6 solid brass saddles, solid machined brass bridge, Fender stamped neck plate & Gotoh tuners. Like all these first run old white ash Micawbers she is fairly weighty at 10.1 Ib. She's got her awesome sounding factory fitted Dragster in the neck and traditional TL vintage in the bridge. There some very nice ‘good wear’ going on, nothing at all serious, just the classic natural relicing in all the right places, the kind of thins that customs shops try to replicate on sterile new guitars. The brass bridge has a nice patina all over it, The body & scratchplate have scuffing and the maple fingerboard has some nice play related wear 2nd, 4th and 6th frets. This thing has Mojo! The vintage correct single-ply black scratch plate has a light warp and a little crack in the plastic at the corner. There are a couple of dings etc. but it's all very moderate, nothing harsh or nasty. The maple neck is dead straight, truss rod fine and the frets have got years left in them. Comes with gig bag.  Don't miss it, once she's gone she's gone. Oh and feel free to take out a saddle and drop it to open G ;)All my guitars are shipped in padded purpose designed tough durable boxes. The guitar will reach you in perfect condition.
