2000 Gibson Custom Historic 1959 59 R9 Les Paul Gorgeous Flamed Lemondrop top!

Up for sale is my 2000 Gibson Historic Collection 1959 Les Paul. A combination of recent GAS and a slightly larger than expected tax liability have me letting this beautiful guitar go. This guitar is in outstanding shape for a 16+ year old guitar. The top is in near mint condition with no major dents, dings or scratches. The back of the body and the back of the neck do show some wear on the lacquer due to perspiration, but again no major dents, dings, or scratches. This ’59 has a beautiful carved flame top with a lemon-drop finish. Nice grain and amazing flame! I am including photos of the top both in natural light (to see the true color) and under a stage light to see the deep complexity of the flame. 2000 was the first year the Custom Shop did not use dye on their tops which produces a real 3D effect to the figuring.
The guitar does have some non-original hardware on it, specifically: · Previous owner changed out the pots and caps (they are very smooth throughout the volume and tone spectrum. The original wiring harness will be included. · Upgraded Tone-Pros Kluson Tuners (original tuners/bushings included) · Tone-Pros locking tailpiece studs (original studs included) · Tone-Pros Tune-O-Matic Bridge and locking studs (original bridge and studs included)
The guitar pickups are Gibson repro PAF humbuckers, which I believe are original to the guitar (57 Classics?) The original Gibson hardshell case is also included (and is in almost new condition.) The previous owner misplaced the Gibson certificate, but all other documentation and case candy will be included.Last but not least, this beauty weighs in at a featherweight (for a non-weight relieved R9) 8.1lbs. The Custom Art Historic OHSC (burgundy lining) will also be included. A few auction details... while I am willing to sell/ship to some locations outside of the US, please contact me before purchasing.
