Vanquish Classic Legend by Adrian Hardman. This is a rare opportunity to own of the best hand-crafted guitars.50 year old Brazilian mahogany construction throughout make this an extremely capable guitar
and a traditional wax and oil finish to retain the natural beauty of the wood. An instrument with real provenance. This guitar was custom built in 2007 to my specification and is in absolutely immaculate condition
bearing the serial number 00004, one of Adrian's first commercially available guitars. Adrian poured his heart and soul into this special guitar and spent over a month personally building it with extraordinary care.
Also included in this sale is a unique collection of over 620 fascinating photographs taken
by Adrian himself at every build stage of the guitar.
These are saved on a DVD and USB memory stick and will be included in the guitar case for the winner.
This has never happened before and I doubt it will happen in future….making this a very highly collectible item. The guitar is complete with its original Hiscox black hard case with velvet lining and “Vanquish” logo,
Vanquish leather strap and two Vanquish picks. The original valuation (£2690) is included in the sale.(see photo)
SPECIFICATION 1 piece 50 year old mahogany body with Vanquish designed set neck insuring correct tone transfer throughout.
1 piece 50 year old mahogany neck with scarf jointed 13 degree headstock for max strength and tone.
1 way traditional truss rod for maximum tone transfer along the neck.
Black African Rosewood fingerboard.
Hand rubbed Oil and Wax finish applied with a natural aged look.
3 degree angled neck/body playing surface insures maximum string vibration to body.
Fully shielded graphite painted pickup and control cavities with copper earth plates and brass cover ensures interference is kept to an absolute minimum.
Side mounted recessed output jack socket.
Mother of pearl position markers to body indicating maximum settings on the volume and tone controls and position of side mounted output jack socket.
Sperzel locking tuners for accurate tuning and fast string changes.
Bare knuckle vintage hand-wound “Mule” calibrated bridge and neck pick-ups.
Cts volume control with push pull tone control operating series or parallel selection for neck pickup only.
