Here is a real GEM. It is an original, unmolested 1972 Strat in Olympic White ( some call it "cream" because of how they yellowed with age ) in excellent condition. All plastic and hardware are original and in good shape. The pick guard had the treble side tip crack off and it is taped together ( see pix ). It has a couple other very small cracks, but no big deal. The serial number on the neck plate is "354220."The neck is a rare rosewood board with a great C shape. It plays wonderfully and the board is not worn. The frets have plenty of meat on them. It retains it's original "F" tuners and single string tree. It also has the longer "bullet" truss rod. The date code at the base of the neck is hard to read, but you can clearly make out " 2 JAN 72 B " when seen up close.The body is in very good shape with no extra holes or funny business. It has just a few small bumps and scratches, but they are minimal as you can see in the pictures. The guitar weighs in at a hair over 8 pounds and is very resonant.The pickups are sweet ! The bridge pickup has a weak reading and is weak on sound. I bought another '72 pickup from a vintage dealer years ago to replace it, but never did. I am including it with the deal. It reads 5.62 ohms. The other two original pickups have good readings and sound great.
Middle P/U - 5.82 ohms
Neck P/U - 5.92 ohmsThe pots and capacitor are original as is the 3-way switch that works fine. It sticks nicely between settings. The date codes on the pots are all "137 7233."It comes in it's original black tolex case in decent condition. GOOD LUCK !!
