Description

Hello, for sale in have what I believe to be a 1996 mij fender stratocaster. I am not the original owner and am not sure what is original to the guitar or what has been changed out. Or if it's an actual fender! I know for sure that the pickguard and pickups have been changed. The guy I got it from said they were fender 57/62s but I couldn't find any markings on them to prove that. They sound fine to me whatever they are. The body is aging nicely with lots of finish checks so it may be nitro. I emailed fender with the serial number and they emailed me back with the production info based on the serial number( I Will paste the email at the end of the listing). What it looks like to me is that they used a 57 reissue body and neck and put a rosewood fretboard on instead of maple and made it a 60s model. But that's just my opinion One gentleman told me he believes the body is actually a 57 reissue body in nitro sonic blue but wasn't sure if the neck and decals were authentic.
I don't know. And unfortunately I can't find any markings on the body. It has a serial number so that's what I went off of. I'm selling this as a partscaster because I can't verify what is or isn't original. Please look at the pictures and ask any questions before offering or buying. Everything I sell is as is and described to the best of my knowledge, but I am no expert! No returns accepted. NO RETURNS Email:

480-367-5262 Update: I had a gentleman let me know that the color code for this serial number is indicating that the neck came off of a shell pink mij stratocaster. So, it's possible that the factory screwed up its coding and the neck and body are original to each other. Or the body is not original to the neck.
