This is a Kalison (makers of the Paxman studenti) Conservatorio Compensating Double French Horn . It has a very comfortable hand positioning of the thumb lever compared with cheaper compensating horns. There is an fixed pinky ring for the left hand.
The condition of this horn is very good and the lacquer is 95% good . The horn has been overhauled and completely cleaned and lubricated with all working parts in good order with no dents or dings . An ex local authority instrument, it seems to have been only lightly used but has been fully cleaned and lubricated using the finest oils available . There may be a small in-obtrusive area where the previous owner etched their name . The plush lined hard case is in very good condition .
The instrument has been brushed disinfected and polished unlike some of the filthy examples that turn up online . This horn would suit a young intermediate or pro/am player seeking a good but lighter alternative to a heavier full double .
