Up for sale is one of my 1930 12-fret Kel Kroydon flattop guitars. We all know the history behind these and why they are so sought after. These are impossibly rare and remarkably sounding instruments. These are regarded as THE lightest builds Gibson has ever produced , with razor thin bracing and no truss rod. This thing has a HUGE sound and is a fingerpickers dream. It takes to flat picking like a seasoned pro as well , but for me - its in the fingerpicking realm where these babes really shine. This is a ZERO issue guitar - No cracks , No Breaks and she's all original (minus the saddle of course:))Did I mention she's a featherweight? Weighing in on my bathroom scale at a mere 2.9 lbs , it seems to float as you play her..The neck profile is a very nice soft "d" profile with a nit width of 1 11/16ths that we all love about these early 30's Era Gibson made instruments. These guitars are extremely hard to find in their complete , original and crack free state. When these come up they are usually cracked or somehow modified , most notably plaining the board and routing for a truss rod, this example has none of those issues. The tuners turn as they should and the original finish is still quite nice and has wonderful checking and playwear throughout.I will regret the sale of this rare bird , but Life calls -This is a great opportunity to own your bucket-list guitar.Email if you have any questions and thanks for looking !
