'72 reissue MIJ I Serial (1989-90) Fender Telecaster in Off White Blond Sen Ash TL72- 53 I love this one. A beautiful old vintage 1989-90 (MIJ I Serial) Fender Telecaster built at the legendary FujiGen plant in Japan. Nice vintage Off White Blonde over lightweight Sen ash body with all its original features like the black 3-ply pickguard, 2 string trees & serial number on the headstock, Gotoh tuners & Fender stanped bridge plate etc. She looks stunning with some really nice ash grain showing through the blonde finish, which has quite a yellow tone to it. Really resonant and feels great to play, plenty of Tele twang and some real bite. I spent a few hours playing this and didn’t want to put it down. Neck dead straight, truss rod fine, plenty of life left in the frets. Structurally and electrically sound. No issues at all. No breaks, repairs, routing or modifications. She is in awesome condition for a late 80's FujiGen Tele and all original. Obviously a few signs of being played, a few little scuffs here and there, scuffing to the pickguard. But nothing horrendous at all, no chipped paint or anything like that. She just has plenty of subtle vintage mojo with some nice oxidation all over the metalware and the yellowing blonde colour. Definitely one of the best 80’s Teles I’ve had in in a long while. Getting very hard to pick up the old FujiGen Fenders now, they are amazing guitars. Complete with gig bag. A very cool '72 RI Fender MIJ Tele. The cost of importing something like this from Japan now with the £ so low would be pretty high. Don't miss it, once she's gone she's gone.
