Ableton Push 2 The Push 2 is the newest revision of Ableton's flagship controller, meant to seamlessly integrate with Ableton Live 9.5. Push 2 is great for programming beats, playing synths, and controlling Ableton all at the same time, with seamless workflow. Tedious mouse and keyboard clicks are now a thing of the past, with almost every parameter within Ableton accessible via controls on the Push 2. Browse, preview, and load any sounds from your computer's library, all with ease. The production of the Push 2 is now completely overseen by Ableton, with designers and engineers developing directly for Ableton Live 9.5 to guarantee flawless interfacing. With the Push 2, one can sculpt a whole song without even looking at the computer.  The pads on the Push 2 can be used to trigger drum samples, such as on an MPC, as well as synthesizers with the pads organizing into a "keyboard" when in that mode. Push allows one to step sequence as well, using the pad to enter notes.  Push 2 has three different workflows, for different production elements. Slice mode allows one to chop and move around samples while assigning them to individual pads. Classic mode is for melodic and harmonic playing, such as morphing a sample into a new melody. One shot mode plays back monophonic samples all the way through the sample, as in the case of drum sampling.  Push 2 was designed from the ground up to be a performance instrument. The multicolored monitoring screen is very high quality, as are the encoders and buttons.
