For sale is a 1980 Fender Lead I. This guitar is all original with the exception of a bone nut that was cut specifically for it, and brand-new jumbo frets. Everything else, wood, finish, humbucker, pickguard, wiring, knobs, tuners, bridge, saddles etc. are original to this 1980 guitar. This guitar has been heavily played over the years, and has the mojo to show for it, therefore the finish is heavily checked and chipping in places, but is still in excellent playable shape due to the custom cut bone nut, and brand-new jumbo fret wire. The rock maple neck is straight, and the Ash body is without gouges and has excellent sustain. This guitar is a very high quality USA model, and was used by some of the industry's best in the early 80s, including Eric Clapton, Rory Gallagher, and even made an appearance in the early 80s MTV favorite music video Love's Got a Line on You by Scandal.
