FENDER STRATOCASTER - MADE IN JAPAN, NATURAL ALDER TUNG OIL FINISH Fender Custom Shop PickGuard + Pro Set-up, 1994, S/N T010080 VERY classy looking Fender Japan Stratocaster for sale. Made in 1994 at the Fuji-gen plant in Japan (serial number T010080 on the back of the headstock) this Stratocaster has been professionally stripped to bare Alder and then treated with Tung Oil and has been upgraded with a new Fender Custom Shop Red tortoiseshell pickguard. Amazing body resonance, comfortable C-shape maple neck with velvet feel and versatile pickups make this a true classic! Please note, this is NOT a Squier, but a Fender Japan Stratocaster "Squier series" - a series introduced in the early 1990s and basically being a Fender Japan Standard as opposed to Vintage Reissue Strats. This instrument received a full professional setup (worth £45) with deep body cleansing, neck deep clean, full electronics check, truss-rod and action and intonation adjustment. Restringed with .009-.046 strings. FEATURES: 1. Wonderful C-shape maple neck with 9.5'' radius rosewood fretboard, medium jumbo frets with minimal wear, comfortable rolled fretboard edges and nice velvety feel of the back from years of playing. Small crack on the treble side on the side of the rosewood fretboard at frets 5-6-7, but doesn't affect playing. Equipped with Fender Japan tuners with vintage-style buttons, these hold tuning very well. Neck is easy to play, no buzz even with low action. Truss-rod works smoothly and is adjusted at the headstock. 2. Two-piece Alder body with balanced weight and beautiful wood grain. Velvet feel thanks to Tung Oil treatment, deep contouring just like on a vintage Stratocaster, HSS body routing - so you can install a full-size humbucker in the bridge position. No paint or lacquer plus 26 years of wood drying give amazing body resonance. New Fender Custom Shop Red tortoishell pickguard is gorgeous. Aged cream pickup covers and ivory knobs fit nicely with the body colour. 3. Fender Japan ceramic pickups with double bar magnets give this Stratocaster a lot of oomph and an amazing tonal palette, these can handle a lot of gain without any unwanted squealing. Dime-size Fender Japan A250K pots and ceramic capacitor. 4. Fender synchronised tremolo with steel tremolo block for more resonance and sustain. Currently set with 3 springs, allows very smooth tremolo action. It's a guitar built for the working guitarist so if you've been wanting a quality Strat, here's one you can easily afford.
