Offering here THE HAYNES FLUTE SERIAL # 16557 The message I received from Alan Weiss Artist-in-Residence at Wm. S. Haynes Co. states,"Our records indicate this is a solid silver regular commercial model from 1947.The "0" is the number of the arbor used to manufacture the parabolic taper of the head joint.We have most of these old retired arbors and the differences between them were very slight." Sincerely, Alan Weiss This is a lovely vintage Haynes Flute.Serial number 16557 dating to 1947. Very nice player.It is solid sterling silver,closed hole,and was called the Regular Commercial Model.With C foot and offset G.Has a few tiny dings on the head joint and body.Good condition pads and a brand new case.
