Rare white Steinberger GM2T with a matching white neck. The GM2T is an iconic Steinberger model and finding a gorgeous white example with a white neck is unique opportunity. This guitar was constructed by Jeff Babicz, who was the former head of production at the Steinberger Sound factory in Newburgh, N.Y. If you're not familiar with his work, just visit his: Jeffbabiczdotcom website and click on the Steinberger Sound icon. Jeff built this guitar using all-original Steinberger parts and hardware. The original neck was perfectly refretted and the frets micropolished. Jeff also installed new (vintage logo) EMG pickups and electronics and to top it off, Jeff located an original and nearly pristine TransTrem vibrato system. Jeff then rebuilt this TransTrem with new bearings and spring and it now performs perfectly and returns to zero within the original factory specs.There is one tiny cosmetic flaw on the body which does not show up in photographs, as it is quite subtle. On the top surface of the body is an original factory blemish which is about 1" in diameter. Specifically, it's a clear coat buff through, which is only visible at certain light angles. It is located between the tone control and the TransTrem bridge, and the white color is not affected.Never played since Babicz fantastic refresh of the instrument - truly special guitar.This Steinberger GM guitar will ship in an original factory-logo black Steinberger hard-shell case ( used) and original Steinberger gig-bag (used) with its TransTrem vibrato arm, TransTrem adjustment tool, plus the COA, signed by Jeff Babicz, and pictured here.
