THANK YOUPresenting here a rare and Vintage Selmer Piccolo trumpet Bb/A with two leadpipes included . This is French model piccolo which was made highly popular in the 1970s by French trumpet virtuoso Maurice Andre . This piccolo is in Serial #67xxx range and in awesome condition which appears to be near mint. This is a RARE VERSION WITH REMOVABLE 4th VALVE SLIDES. NOTE / UPDATE 02/24/17 : ORIGINAL SILVER PLATED SELMER PART / SMALL SLIDE HAS BEEN FOUND AND ADDED TO THIS TRUMPET SALE WHICH MAKES IT NOW ALSO PLAY IN KEY OF G AS WELL ! PLEASE READ SMALL LETTERS INFO PROVIDED BY FRIENDLY EBAY MEMBER THANK YOU "The 4th slide comes off to make the piccolo play in the key of G with the 4th valve pushed down but only when you replace it with a shorter G slide which is similar to the length of the 1st valve slide and using the A leadpipe. It was a special option requested by Maurice Andre. " Silver is all there. Just spotted possibly small ding/dent removal in the bell bow area which can be felt to the finger but very hard to notice by eye. Also noticed shallow line on the very top edge part of the bell which is possible small dent removed there but it really looks like a line from a mute and again very hard to notice. Compression on all 4 Valves is top 100% and I blew to the horn and did compression test and there was no air escaping anywhere. This horn does not appear to be played a lot either and plays great ! The A leadpipe does not appear to be ever used at all. This horn has no dings and no dents and actual pistons ( see photos ) are very clean with no wear and move smooth and fast. Again air compression is top here ! Horn comes with Bach Selmer case in which fits well. It lays down in this case better when the 4th slide is removed for carrying but it also can be closed and carried when 4th slide is in it just lays down better when 4th slide is removed. Bach case is mint and comes with 2 original keys. Selmer is not making brass instrument since January 2011. Own a piece of Selmer History and play and enjoy this piccolo for years to come.
