Greco Stratocaster 1971 or 1972  Sunburst 3 Tone Vintage  Made in JapanThis model is one of the first Stratocaster copies made by Greco and this is indicated by the GNECO logo on the neckI have dated it to 1971 or 1972 , however I cant be sure.  (there are no serial numbers, Greco didn't use serial numbers 1974 and prior)The stuck on Gneco / Greco logo is only found on 1971 to 1972 models, however I have not seen another like this one.  (Have owned this for about 6 years only)The logo on this Greco is unique it is the raised plastic black and gold logo only used in first years of production (before mass production 1973 onwards), it is a quality build. If you google Greco Guitars you will note that you will not find many images with this headstock logo it is rare. (I have only found one other model)That said you are buying a 45 year old guitar,  for its age it is very good The neck has minimal neckwear around the 1st and 2nd frets only (all frets are good)The Tremelo backplate is missing on the back of the guitar (normal if used professionally), tremolo also missing (std strat tremolo)There are heaps of nicks and small scratches , wear on the body, as it has been played extensively.  Don't buy if you want a mint guitar, this ones a player.Pots have been cleaned on the 26th Feb , no issues but need to be cleaned every 6 months (this is a revision to the listing they were previously scratchy) .Neck has an excellent action, I have small hands and it is a very good neck action. It also comes with a hard case (only if you pick it up) the hard case is oversized and does not fit it well so this is a freebie for anyone who picks upIf you are not picking it up it will be bubble wrapped and single boxed, I would strongly encourage pickup as this is a vintage instrument, and irreplaceableI hope I have described all the defects,  send a message if you have any queries (I can send extra photos if required)If you do not understand how to maintain a vintage guitar and how to rectify the defects listed above , please do not bid.Overseas buyers the postage listed is an estimate,  if less I will refund , if more I will request buyer pays.  (I would prefer not to post overseas due to the risks of posting to some countries, and reserve the right to cancel overseas bids)Pickup is Blakehurst in Sydney
