Vintage 1971 Gibson Les Paul Standard 1954 Re-Issue Gold Top Electric Guitar. A killer playing, sounding, and looking example of this super rare early re-issue Les Paul. Has a super fat neck that feels great to hold. Playability is fantastic in every position with a tight, quick feel. Has had a recent pro refret so it is exceptionally smooth. Original Gibson Embossed P-90 Pickups sound amazing. The neck one has a fat, round punch that has a deep, round and resonant tone. The bridge pickup has all the bite and twang you could want and has a thick, crisp tone. Excellent condition with signs of normal honest cosmetic wear throughout. The finish has faded in a very cool way. the original wrap around bridge has been replaced with a tune-o-matic for better sustain and intonation. You can see the filled holes from the original posts when you look closely. The tuners were changed to Grovers long ago, they work great. Plays great as is and is priced accordingly. Comes with the original hard shell case.
