For sale Fender USA American Special Strat HSS. A slightly more modern take on a classic design, with USA Fender quality throughout.Lovely guitar, very playable with jumbo frets, rolled fingerboard edges, 70's style headstock and fabulous, satin neck.Vintage style tremolo, gloss finish. The guitar came as standard with the Atomic humbucker, which people have described as Fender's take on the classic JB, as well as two Texas Special single coils. I replaced the neck pickup with a Seymour Duncan Little 59 for added warmth and thickness. I do have the original Texas Special and this will be supplied with the guitar should you want to change it back to original. Greasebucket tone circuit does a great job of knocking off the highs without muddying the sound, and the two tone controls mean you have separate control over the bridge and neck pickups.The guitar has a small ding on the upper shoulder which I have tried to clearly photograph. It is a compression ding and the finish has a tiny hairline crack, but no chips. Apart from that and the usual pickguard swirls, the guitar is in pristine condition. I only bought this about three months ago but I am really not getting on with the jumbo frets...I prefer more of a traditional feel.It's currently set up on 10-46 Slinkys with floating tremolo per Fender spec. If you want it set up with a different gauge (within reason, I don't want to be filing the nut for 13s!) or a decked trem please let me know and I will make it happen. I'll even throw in a couple of extra trem springs so you can mess about with the tension as you see fit.Guitar comes with the standard Fender Gigbag, trem arm, polishing cloth, hang tags, instruction manual, allen keys AND GATOR DELUXE ABS HARD CASE.Obviously I would prefer cash on collection or bank transfer. If you want this guitar shipped I will do my best to package it securely.
