Vintage 1970 Gibson Les Paul Professional, with original hard shell case, and original sales receipt from 1970. In very nice shape, showing just a handful of small dings and nicks, but very little play wear - see all the detailed photos. Has one notable scratch on the back of the neck, as seen in the one photo with green writing - this is a just a shallow scratch, not a crack or repair. No breaks, no repairs, no issues - 100% original in every possible way. This is one of the early Les Paul Professionals, with the 1969 style "open B" and "open O" Gibson pearl headstock inlays. Extremely wide, nice nut width of over 1 11/16 inches, and a very thick, chunky neck profile. Three-piece neck and two-piece "pancake" body, small volute. Plays with extremely nice, low action - this is an incredibly well-made guitar. Does not include low-high transformer cable (which is needed for these guitars with these low impedence pickups). Includes the original sales receipt from 1970 (will be included inside the case compartment). Includes the original case, which is in truly excellent condition, with the one exception of a missing handle (very common on all these cases for this model). Check out the photo of the near-mint, lightweight aluminum tailpiece - it has the mold marks like the stop tailpieces from the late '50s (if this tailpiece was nickel instead of chrome, the tailpiece would probably be worth over $1,000 alone).Overall, this is probably as nice as it gets for an early Les Paul Professional like this. You'd have a hard time finding a cleaner one! Check out how clean the tailpiece and bridge and knobs are, among other things.
