Here is a truly one of a kind, unique, 100% Fender USA Stratocaster. This stratocaster is a partscaster created from genuine Fender USA parts by a fellow guitar enthusiast in Austin, TX. It has its body from a 1959 Fender American Vintage Reissue stratocaster, and its neck comes from a 1968 Michael Landau signature model. The neck and body are shaped and finished exactly as a vintage stratocaster would be, with that awesome broken in feel from being played a lot. This guitar has period correct gray bobbin pickups and cloth wire and the full aluminum pickguard shield, which all come from an 1965 Fender American Vintage Reissue stratocaster. Vintage tones for days. Lots of people say these are the best pickups they've ever heard and I personally agree. It looks and feels like a green Michael Landau signature (a $4300 guitar), but with with the most period-correct pickups available, unlike the stock Landau strat, which has Fat 50's for some reason, which are both generic sounding and not period correct. This has a medium relic job (feel great, a noticeable up close, but not obvious from a few feet away), which is great if you love the Landau signature, but don't like the look of a heavy relic guitar. Also, that makes this the ONLY Michael Landau signature stratocaster in Sherwood Green! To my knowledge, this is the ONLY 100% Fender guitar with a late 60's big headstock and a Sherwood green finish. There may be some real vintage examples out there, but not for under $20,000. It's a pretty light weight guitar too, at only 7.5 pounds. Basically it's perfect. I'm just wanting a more modern sound and feel (probably gonna be a Suhr) and I'm looking to finance that by selling this strat. Be aware that this guitar has a 7.25" vintage radius and 6105 frets. Late 60's oval C shape, like Landau's real '68. It's a totally different playing experience from an American Deluxe, as I learned somewhat naively. But it's excellent if vinatge vibe is what you're going for. This is a one of a kind guitar. Maybe it could become your signature model ;-) Comes in a genuine Fender hard case. Feel free to ask any questions.
