For Sale a 1962 Gibson Barney Kessel Custom Guitar made in Kalamazoo, MI.  by the best craftsmen in the Gibson Factory, like all the Artist Series.  Sporting the very large headstock and neck like the Super 400 this is a wonderful sounding and playing guitar.  17" body width, 21" body length, 3" body depth, and 25.5 " scale.  Has a 5 piece maple neck with Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and bow tie pearl inlays.  All metal parts are gold plated- tuners, pickup covers , tune-o-matic. bridge and Barney Kessel tailpiece.  Separate tone and volume controls, two PAF pickups with Patent Applied For stickers on the bottom.  Spruce top, birds eye maple back and sides.  A beautiful and well cared for guitar.  There is wear to the back of the neck and a few light dings on the body-No big scratches..  The original owner, from whom I purchased this guitar, added another strap button to the neck heel and the small hole is shown in the pictures.  I believe everything is original but maybe a strap button.  Frets and fingerboard are excellent as the original owner played rhythm jazz chords and used all the positions and didn't stay in one area very long.  There is wear to the gold plated parts but not terribly bad.   According to Gibson production numbers only 43 BK Customs were made in 1962.. My pictures do not do this guitar justice!Located in Dallas, TX pickup is free and that would be my preferred way to get it to you.  USA only, please.
