You are bidding on a vintage York Sousaphone. This sousaphone dates from approx. 1929 based on its serial number 96055. The bell measures 26" across. If you would like any other measurements, please let me know and I will be happy to get them for you. (I am not familiar with sousaphones so please tell me what to measure) It appears to be in overall good condition. As far as I can see nothing is broken. The valves are not stuck although the pearl button is missing off valve #2. The screws that hold the bell on are missing. There are some dents in the bell as pictures and just some minor dents here and there. The finish has wear and there is no mouthpiece, therefore it is untested. Please see pictures for condition. This item is being sold as is. Local pickup in St. Joseph, MI is welcome! Shipping will include insurance and while we package carefully, we will not be responsible for damage during shipping. PLEASE NOTE: The shipping calculator is an estimate. I took measurements and I THINK I can get it into a box that will fit the lower shipping costs reflected in the calculator. However, I will box the item and send an invoice at the end of the auction and it may be different than the shipping calculator. It also may be safer to ship in 2 boxes. It could be as much as $200 to ship. Hopefully my measurements are correct and we can ship it for the cost listed.
