The SG Special has been the choice of rockers for decades. How can you argue with its seductive shape and great tone? It features a double cutaway, beveled mahogany body for great tone. The one piece mahogany neck features trapezoid inlays. Dual 498T and 490R humbuckers deliver killer tone. A Stopbar tailpiece, Tuneomatic bridge and Kluson style tuners keep it rock solid. This example is finished in cherry red lacquer. A great guitar for rock, blues, punk or metal. Accept no substitutes! Own the original! This is a good feeling and sounding SG. The slim to medium thickness neck is straight and has nice action. The pickups sound great and everything works as it should. This 2002 Gibson SG Special Electric guitar is a used item in VG+ condition. There is some light wear showing in terms of a few outside marks and pick scratches. It shows light to moderate pick and clearcoat scratches, moderate pickguard scratches. We recently buffed up the body and that helped clean it up a lot. The frets are generally good with no indents, but some regular surface wear. The electronics are good and work well. This is good SG that is almost 15 years old and it’s got some great playing left in it. A cool SG. You will receive this item well-packed in a hard case but without its original paperwork and packaging. Please contact this seller for additional information.
