John Page is among the greatest living custom luthiers, co-founding and leading the Fender Custom Shop for its first 12 years. Renowned for creating legendary guitars for artists including Eric Clapton, Pete Townshend, David Gilmour, Elliot Easton and Cesar Rosas, John has struck out on his own with John Page Guitars. This is the new version of the Ashburn design, the Ashburn HH, as it is loaded with two Bloodline® by John Page™ JP-2 humbuckers. The humbuckers are a slightly underwound pickup with the warmth, aiming for the sound of a vintage PAF with more modern clarity and a nice sparkle to the top end. A major design feature on the Ashburn HH is that the neck-to-body fastening method utilizes chrome-plated steel connector bolts coupled to solid brass threaded inserts for not only the strongest possible mechanical connection, but additional beautiful overtones and harmonics.
