Here is a very cool, custom made, Les Paul style body that's made out of metal (aluminum?) and highly engraved in the style of a Chrysanthemum National Tri-cone guitar from the 1930s.I have no idea who made it, if its custom made, or if National or Gibson offered these guitars for a while. Its never been a full guitar, no pickups or neck or bridge have ever been mounted to it. Its hollow, and weighs 5lbs 3 oz. The neck slot fits any Fender style neck, but I'm sure a good luthier could put a Gibson Neck on there as well. There are no screw holes drilled for a Fender style, 4-screw, neck plate, but that would be the easiest approach just drilling the 4 holes. The holes are cut for a standard 4-knob Gibson Les Paul setup, and Humbucking pickups. There are two backplates for the electronics access, and a hole cut for the toggle switch.A lot when into making this beautiful body, the engraving is top-notch. I just don't have the time to build a guitar out of it. maybe you do? If so, you'd have one super cool looking Les Paul.Sold "as-is" Ask any questions. You couldn't make this yourself for anything close to the price I'm asking. Offers welcome!
